"Mother's protection? Protection itself is Mother"

Vijaya is a frail boy of eight and a day student at Matrusri Vidyalayam, Jillellamudi. He was born at Jillellamudi and his parents have been in the service of 'AMMA' since their childhood.

A few years ago, Vijaya the grand son of Sri Gopala Rao, along with other children, was flying kites on the roof of a two storied building. Deeply engrossed in watching the kites, he stepped over the edge and fell down to the concrete flooring, 25 feet below. His playmates were struck dumb, ran down and carried him to the hospital a few yards away. Normally the fall should have been fatal or at least very serious. Incredibly, by the grace of 'AMMA', apart form the minor injuries and the shock, the boy was quite safe.

On 5th May, of 1968, at 7pm., Gopala Rao and his family were getting ready for 'AMMA's puja and bhajan at their residence at Kakinada about 250 miles away from Jillellamudi. Their eldest son, aged 12, was drawing water having a bath at the well. Suddenly, no one knows how, the boy was drawn into the well along with the bucket and rope. His father who rushed to the spot and focused the torch into the well, found him reclining on the water as if in an easy chair. The Water was at least six feet deep.

A rope was dropped and he climbed it up. There was not a scratch on his body nor had he swallowed any water at all. When asked how he could float on the water, he replied that something supported him from below. He was not frightened at any stage. He participated in the puja and bhajan that started 15 minutes later.

On 19th May, the same year the family moved to Jillellamudi to be directly under 'AMMA's protective wings forever.
