Sri Racharla Lakshminarayana of Guntur is one of the few who has complete faith on Amma and is fully devoted to her. He has innumerable experiences to his credit, and the following is just one example.
In 1969, Lakshminarayana's grand mother was ailing in bed at a small town near Guntur. Before proceeding to Jillellamudi, he asked if she had any thing to be conveyed to Amma. "Ask Amma how long I should continue to suffer in this cot", was her tearful appeal.
When he reached Jillellamudi, Lakshminarayana repeated the question to Amma and in a very casual manner, she asked : "Shall we send her now?"...
"Please, Not today".
"Why not?" Today is 'Mahasivarathri (a sacred day)' Amma in playful tone. "Today.. my father will be on duty. He will not go home for two days", was his reply. The entire conversation was so casual that Lakshminarayana forgot about it. But not Amma.
After the two days had passed, when both of them were viewing a slides show, Amma suddenly asked : " Will your father be at home now?" "Yes...Will you issue a ticket to my granny?" Laksminarayana blurted out half jokingly. It was then 4.50 pm.
Lakshminarayana wanted to stay at Jillellamudi a few days more. But soon after the slides show, Amma gave him prasadam and dispatched him in haste.
It was midnight when Sri Laksminarayana reached his home. The house was full of people and awake. In the midst of them was the body of his dear old granny on the ground. "When did this happen? he inquired." At 4.50 pm " was the answer he got to his dismay.
