(About the author: Smt. Racharla Kamala is an ardent devotee of Amma. It is no exaggeration to say that she is not capable of thinking of anything except in correlation to the divine mother. A true satvik devotee of Amma, she never lost faith on the Divine through her thick and thin.)

I went to Jillellamudi along with my parents. My father intended to perform Satyanarayana Vratham (a prayer to Lord Vishnu) at Chirala within the next few days. I took my parents to Amma and told Her, "Mother, I brought my father and mother." "Obviously," Mother smiled benignly. After a few hours, time has come for us to take leave of Amma. The afternoon weather was intolerably hot. The sun was scorching and we were afraid to walk the 2 km., stretch to reach the bus stand. "It is so hot, Mother," I complained to Amma. Mother did not answer, she kept looking at the skies and at the sun. After a few seconds, a few clouds gathered, suddenly there was shade and the heat died down. I was partly disappointed. In the guise of scorching heat, I thought I could stay for some more time with Amma. "What is this, Mother, did you do this to drive me away?" I asked Her. "No my child, father needs looking after. Drop them at Chirala. You can come back again." Mother of all knows not only what we want, she also knows what each one of us needs.

We went back to Chirala. I was telling my parents about my dear Mother, Amma of Jillellamudi. They were deeply immersed in listening to the deeds of the Divine. As I was explaining, without my awareness, I slipped into a short nap. I had a small dream. I was walking to Jillellamudi. Mother was coming from the opposite direction. (In physical form, Mother is 5' 4"). In my dream, I saw Her form extend from the earth to the Sun. Her head was touching the sun. 'Oh, Mother," I was shouting aloud and I woke up with a jerk. My parents were asking me "You were telling us about the Mother. What happened to you in the meanwhile?"

Amma controlling the five elements of nature and the whole gamut of planets is nothing to feel surprised about. She is the primordial energy which controls the cosmos. Can't the cretor regulate? She plays with Her creation. And when she feels extra compassion to the needy and the suffering, she discloses a microscopic part of Her power, to enable us to have a small glimpse of her Divine Play.

Another small incident near Hymalayam. It was enthralling to watch not only the omnipotence of Amma but also to understand how we petty mortals assume a superior knowledge over Her. My husband, myself and several devotee children were sitting outside the place where Hymalayam now stands. (At that time, it was a semi permanent structure). Mother had a vessel in her hand, full of a delicious curd rice prasadam. The sky was clear, weather was marvellous. The starlit evening sky added to the immense pleasure of sitting in Amma's presence. She asked the gathering, "Shall we go inside and start eating?" Who wants to leave the pleasant outdoors and go inside? "Better we eat inside," Amma persisted. "No, No, Mother, give us the Prasadam here." Mother smiled and took one spoonful of rice. There was a small drizzle and in seconds, it turned into a thunderous downpour. Those who insisted on staying outside were the first to run for cover. Mother, of course, was the last person to leave the open air, and go inside.

The five elements of nature are but five of Her children. They love to obey their Mother, their Creator, and their benefactor. We are fortunate to have seen the Divine in human form. Blessed are those, who can share those moments of Divine bliss, Divine presence and Divine touch.
