Hyma, Amma’s daughter who was an embodiment of compassion; almost an exile from a far higher realm, like so many other divine personages broke the earthly bond in her very youth. Hyma consumed herself physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Her constant prayer to Amma was "Take me back into Thyself".

After Hyma’s physical death, she was entombed as one of the saints in whom the last vestiges of attachment are already consumed to ash. Amma infused spiritually life into the body of Hyma and declared "Hymalayam will become a house of penance where many will engage in ‘tapas’ (Austirities) and gain fulfillment."
