Amma is considered by many as an incarnation of Adishakti. Yet when they approached Amma, what they prayed from was a job, a promotion, the marriage of their daughter, a cure for their disease or some such thing. Is this all that can or should be asked of ONE, who is in control of the entire Universe and can grant us, literally, anything?

It is said that every soul has originally descended from ‘Paramatma’ whose nature is pure Bliss Eternal. So the urge of every soul that has so descended, is to go back to its parent - Paramatma. In this trial, due to the enveloping ‘Maya[Illusion]’, we get diverted into channels which appear to lead to peace and bliss but in reality lead to worry and distress. Avatars like Amma are fully competent to show us the right path to liberation, which is our real goal. But how many of us have utilized this unique opportunity?

Yet it is never too late. We can always pray Amma to reside in our hearts and guide us in the right direction. But, before that, we have to cleanse our hearts of all evil forces like malice, jealousy, acrimony etc. An easy way to do this, is to keep Amma’s image insistently in our mind, think of Her divine qualities and take Her name at every opportunity. We all have the added advantage of her blessings. So let us all start on this divine path that takes us to our goal - liberation.
